This panel breaks my heart because it’s such a huge statement in such a small scene.  Tony gives Cap the “mayday switch” on his (internally-activated) armor - quite literally, he’s giving Cap his life.  It’s him promising something like the Civil War will never happen again, because if he ever puts himself at odds with Steve in that way, Steve can not only stop him, but kill him, if he has to.
